ABOUT ME
BEHIND THE LENS
“You don't take a photograph, you make it.”
― Ansel Adams
As rightly touched upon by Ansel, photography to me is like a canvas where I put the strokes of color brushes entwined with my wild imaginations to make a great painting.
My so called act of taking pictures started during my school days when I received a point and shoot reel camera as a gift from a neighbor. The joy of capturing moments was enormous and it increased over the years. It was, however, my stay in Europe during 2009-2010 when I realized that the childhood interest had become a passion of sorts for me. I bought my first digital point and shoot camera in 2009 and eventually my first DSLR camera in 2012.
I am a nature lover and take great pleasure in capturing its overwhelming beauty from different angles. I am also fascinated by different moods and shades of human faces, by the architectural grandeur of historical monuments, by the cultural diversities present across the globe, and by watching the wild animals and their movements in their natural habitat.
Every day, the more I see that surrounds me, listen to the music, travel to places, read new books and articles, more I learn to see things differently and it is a learning which has no end.
